AdSense Makes It's Debut

It's time to join the AdSense program and serve relevant ads to my users.

A few weeks back I had applied for the Google AdSense program, to be able to add some small revenue to my site. I'm still working on getting out of debt, so I thought a small ad on the sidebar wouldn't be too big of a deal. Initially, Google denied my application but last week I got an email accepting my submission, as they were now "* able to include a wider range of publishers and content*". In light of this change, I have added some a small box of ads on the sidebar. I'm not the only one, MtDewVirus did the same thing.

They are not too obtrusive, and I find that they do have some relevant ads at times, so please feel free to support me visiting the advertised websites if they interest you. I'd also like you to let me know what you think of the placement, as I tried to keep them as unobtrusive as possible.

(On a side-note, I'm impressed that the code didn't break my XHTML validation.)

Update: I'm aware of the problems that have arose in IE with my sidebar. I simply have to use the box model hack, as soon as I understand it.

Update: You may notice I've changed the positioning of the ads, as I'm trying out a different position. Please voice what you think of the placement. I don't want to create something that people do not like. Maybe a suggestion on placement?
